Viking Tarsoly Purse Closure – 10th Century Hungarian Pouch Fastener

This decorative purse closure feeds a strap through the loop as an easy way to close a pouch. It consists of two pieces, one attached to the pouch and the other to the flap.

This fastener is modelled after one found at a Hungarian site and currently held at the Egri museum. It is dated to the 10th century.
