This item comes in gold, silver and a copper colour option. It is available as a brooch or a mount for leather work or shields.
The brooches have a modern pin glued to the back, for convenient use. They can be used by reenactors or for everyday wear.
The mounts have integrated modern rivets on the back for easy installation. Although modelled on shield decorations they can just as easily be used on leatherwork.

L= 3 cm, W=`5 cm
The original artifact that they are modelled after can be seen in the British Museum. It is a late 5th century brooch, that includes 2 rivet holes. Some shield fittings were later reused as brooches, which may be the reason for the rivet holes.
