These antique bronze eagles are perfect for a Frankish purse or belt decoration. They have a dark bronze colour and come with integrated rivets on the back.
Eagles were a common symbol in Frankish and Anglo-Saxon culture. They are often shaped bent over as if eating, sometimes they even have a fish in their claws, such as the decorative plaque found in the Staffordshire hoard.
This pair of Frankish eagles are similar to purse mounts held at the MET museum. https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/464902
Measurements:
L = 4.8 cm
