In a time when needles were precious and essential tools of everyday life, a needle case was an essential accessory for women of all classes. Variously made from wood, leather, ivory or base and precious metals, our needle case is modelled after some examples found in the United Kingdom. It has a silver finish and consists of two pieces joined together by a simple cord. The cord allows it to be hung conveniently from a belt.
