A traditional style of radiate brooch, typically worn in sets of two. Similar versions of these brooches have been found in graves from the 5th to the 11th century. They are common in Anglo-Saxon England and Merovingian France.
Reliquaria's version comes in a dark brass finish with black shading in the carved decorations.
This long style of dark ages brooch is often called a "long brooch". The last picture shows a similar example from the British Museum.
